I'm a software engineer with more than 15 years of experience building enterprise systems for federal programs including USPS, FAA, and DHS. My work focuses primarily on Go, Java, and Rust, with experience across backend services, desktop applications, web services, data integration, and containerized systems.
Beyond software development, I'm interested in the tooling and infrastructure surrounding software development — CI/CD, reproducible builds, Linux, and declarative configuration.
Outside of work, I enjoy building and designing things with FreeCAD, including projects for 3D printing and BIM. I like the intersection of software, engineering, and physical projects, particularly when parametric and reproducible workflows can be applied to both.
A lifelong baseball fan, I especially enjoy following the Baltimore Orioles, watching the game, and spending time around baseball with my family.
These days, much of my personal work revolves around NixOS, self-hosting, open-source software, FreeCAD, 3D printing, BIM, and baseball.
The common thread is building things that are reliable, reproducible, and pleasantly boring to operate.
